(I think this is a picture that you took in November of 2009)

The last couple of days I have been thinking about our time "here on the mountain."  It's funny how we say that, it has been 4 years!   I thought that I would make a list:

Good Times List

  1. As a family we made friends with a pet squirrel name Jerry and later we found him dead in some water.
  2. I came home with a dog, named him Rosco.
  3. Heaven forbid I didn't put a leash on him and played out side with him in a our front yard....(you know what comes next.)
  4. We came home with another dog, this was not good.   Do you remember your army shoes, his constant barking?
  5. We moved out of the green house to the blue house to my parents house then back to the blue house.
  6. You left for boot camp:(
  7. You left for OCS:(
  8. You came back from boot camp :)
  9. You came back from OCS:)
  10. The mouse in the hallway.
  11. The squirrel in the bedroom, hiding, freaking me out.
  12. Caleb was born without an epidural.  His super squishy cheeks.
  13. When Brook was born we drove through the night at outlandish speeds.  You delivered her.  Mary was an awesome midwife.
  14. The Denali.
  15. Running out of diapers turned into a crisis, same as milk.
  16. The White Van.
  17. No cell phone service.
  18. No dishwasher.
  19. ANACONDA SQUEEZE.
  20. Putting 4 Children to bed in the same room.
  21. Brook's Crazy Hair in the morning!
  22. Dave Ramsey says.
  23. The boys feeding a racoon in the middle of the night with chocolate chips and then petting it.  "Mom we washed our hands after we pet him, it's not a big deal."LOL!"
  24. USAA
  25. T-Ball, Soccer, and Cub Scouts.
I am pretty sure there is more.  I'll have to ask you about it tonight before we good to bed.  Oh wait, I will probably ask you when we wake each other up trying to get "the babies" to sleep.

P.S.  I love the vintage pearl.  Christmas is coming up. Hint, Hint.

Taste Test

Benjamin loves to sample.  This morning,without my knowledge,  he sampled;
Izze Sparkling Apple, Blackberry and Clementine.
I asked him which one was his favorite.
He said he only liked the Sparkling Apple.
Yum.
 Sounds good to me.
I might have to sample myself.

Caleb at 2

Caleb is now 2 years old.  He is a lot of fun.  His favorite word is "ahhhh ya!"  He loves to play with his little sister.  We have decided that he will probably be the biggest of our boys right now.  He is always into something and trying to learn new things, he loves to sit in the stroller and go for walks.  He can usually be found in the backyard pushing his little car around.  He loves our dog Rosco and isn't afraid of him at all!  He is a little boy who makes everyone happy.  His first word was "Happy."  We love him so much and we are so glad that he is part of our family.

I love this picture of Aaron and Benjamin because they love to jump on the trampoline, and a couple of weeks ago Joseph found Benjamin outside in his underwear! Ha! To be that free spirited again!

FREEEDOM!

This is Brook at 6 months and Caleb about 3 months ago (right after a haircut)! Aren't they getting so big! I can't believe it!

Finishing the Book of Mormon

Today we finished the Book of Mormon! Hooray! We started days after Aaron was born.

The Boys cleaned their room, hallway, and bathroom.

The boys kicked me out of their room when we tucked them in and as I walked out I heard Aaron say okay Benjamin lets say our prayers.

I ran and got Joseph and we stood outside the door and heard this:

Aaron 5: "Heavenly Father thank you for my body, thank you for this beautiful world I like it a lot, and help me not get angry. In the name of Jesus Christ Amen."Okay Benjamin it's your turn."

Benjamin 3: "Please help us have fun thank you for the food name a Jesus Christ Amen."

SOOO Sweet.

My Boys

I am so in love with my little guy. He has his nice little chubby hands little button nose, fuzzy head and round cheeks. But best of all, he is always with a smile and cheerful attitude. I tell everyone that it's like playing house with him! He is always so happy to be with his brother and have him play with them. Benjamin is always rubbing his head and Aaron is always putting his arms around him to give him a big hug. He likes to play chase him with his brothers. They will go after him and he starts to squeal and crawl away really fast. It is so fun to watch them play. A couple of weeks ago he took his first steps and he is now trying to crawl everywhere. I love him so much and want him to know that he is so loved by his family. He says "Ma,ma,ma,ma," over and over again. He is just so perfect!

Aaron is learning how to read. He is really good at memorizing and using techniques to help him understand words. He is so much fun to have as an oldest child. We are learning so much together and he is so so so so good at listening and picking up his toys when I ask him. He is such a good example to his little brothers. His eyes are always excited to share something new that he has learned he to make his younger brother Benjamin laugh by doing something goofy. He loves to draw and dinosaurs are his favorite. Right now he wants to paint his room green and have some shelves to decorate with his dinosaurs. He looks forward to having fun activities together as a family and he puts his arms around me and tells me that he wants me to be happy. He is very excited to have a new little sister too. He is just so perfect!

Benjamin is the most loving forgiving little boys I have ever met. He told me today that he loved me so much and that he missed me so much because he loved me so much. He is wanting to get into everything and learn and test how everything works. He still loves his cars, little einsteins and trains. He is so happy to be with me in the kitchen and to be my little helper. I love having him there. He still loves his little green and yellow blanket that Grandma Christiansen made for him. He is in love with Lucky Charms and loves to have his milk or warm chocolate made for him. Benjamin is very creative and loves to fill is projects with colors and unique designs today we had fun making a creation of his own. He asks me just about everyday if he can learn how to play the violin. He is just so perfect!

I love my little boys and live to be a better person for them. It makes everything worth it!

Elder Jeffrey R. Holland,
"If it was right when you prayed about it and trusted it and lived for it, it is right now."
